She sprays an even layer of liquid on the surface of her window before stretching a piece of bubble wrap over it, which will act as an insulation layer.

She explained: “This is going to reduce heat loss from your windows by up to 50 percent.

“Another option that’s not going to be quite as effective but looks nicer is getting this stick-on stained clagg panelling that you can just stick on the windows.

“Not only does it give a really pretty effect but it helps reduce heat loss.”

The content creator continued: “The next thing you want to do is check for any draft through the cracks of your windows, a lot of the time there is a tiny space or cold air coming in.

“There is a tape that you can stick to the bottom of your windows that prevents that draft from coming in. You literally just stick it to the bottom of your window panel.”

Homeowners may also want to consider investing in a draft stopper to slot under their doors, which can be hooked at either side of the door.

One person commented on the video: “Bubblewrap taped on the inside of my garage made a significant difference. Not pretty but effective.”

Another labelled the hack “awesome,” while a third person commented: “Great ideas.”
