Lidl issued a statement urging customers to immediately “stop using” three Beldray Revo Cordless Vacuum models due to a potential safety hazard.
“We have become aware of a manufacturing defect,” the customer notice stated.
A “small number of DC adaptors” supplied with the Beldray vacuums are faulty.
These hoovers have been sold in-store since 2020 and all purchasers are advised to stop using the models immediately.
Three vacuums sold at Lidl have been recalled:

The important customer notice revealed the problem is to do with the “BS DC adaptor” that were sold in the UK and Ireland.
In the customer notice, it said: “The defect may cause the back of the DC adaptor to come off.
“The defect affects all UK and Ireland adaptors supplied since January 2020 with BS, 3-PIN, DC Adaptor Model Number: TYBSDC1400500.”
The statement continued: “If you have bought one of these products, stop using it immediately.
“For a replacement DC adaptor, please contact Ultimate Products at [email protected], www.beldray.com, 0161 934 2212.”
Lidl apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked its customers for their cooperation.
Elsewhere in the budget supermarket, two food products have been recalled.
The Oh So Lean Shredded Crispy Chicken with Curry Noodles has been recalled due to undeclared allergens.
There is the presence of celery and mustard which have not been declared on the packaging.
Batches affected:
All 400g Oh So Lean Shredded Crispy Chicken with Curry Noodles that have best-before dates of August 20, August 23, and August 24, 2023.
People who have frozen the product can return it to the store for a full refund.
Another Lidl food recall is McEnnedy Corn Dogs that have a use-by date of:
- April 28, 2024
- June 10, 2024
- August 10, 2024.
Lidl Ireland is recalling McEnnedy Corn Dogs due to the potential presence of Listeriamonocytogenes, which is why the product should be returned to the store.
