The lower the overall index score, the higher the ranking – with hot chocolate spots across Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow placing highly within the top eight.

Finishing in third place is Glasgow’s Ottoman Coffeehouse, where you can wrap your hands around a cup of delicious sipping chocolate.
Tied for fourth place is Edinburgh’s The Milkman and Manchester’s second entry in the top five, Fig + Sparrow.
Located in the heart of Liverpool city centre, the family run Lucy in The Sky Coffee Shop completed the top five.
