The toilet seat is one of the most-used places in the house and keeping it clean is an important way to improve hygiene.
The good news is households don’t need bleach, harsh chemicals, or abrasives to get the job done.
Taking to TikTok, Kelly, otherwise known as @mrsdscleaningreviews, has shared a nifty hack to lift stains taking over toilet seats without any chemicals whatsoever.
The cleaning guru captioned the video: “Toilet cleaning hack. The unsightly stains under the toilet seat.
“It doesn’t matter how much you try and clean, those nasty stains never come away.

Starting off the video, Kelly shows users the toilet seat covered in yellow stains, that could’ve been as a result of limescale, urine stains or cleaning chemicals being used.
She then goes in with a wet magic eraser and gently scrubs at the stains.
It takes mere seconds for the stains to disappear, leaving behind a shiny white toilet seat that looks brand new.

A magic eraser looks very much like an average sponge that you’d use to clean the dishes, but that’s where the similarities stop.
A magic eraser is made up of melamine foam. In a nutshell, this is a porous material (it allows water to go through it), that works tirelessly to remove the stains from surfaces the eraser comes into contact with.
While Kelly is shown to be using a Flash Magic Eraser, which retails at Sainsbury’s for £3 for a pack of two, other brands work just as well.
Express.co.uk found that a pack of ten magic erasers retail for £2 at Amazon. This works out as only 20p per sponge.
