How Carol Vorderman stunned with unlikely Pride Of Britain gowns and still sparked frenzy

The Pride of Britain Awards 2023 is about to kick off and presenter Carol Vorderman presented a very glamorous look during the ITV awards ceremony last year.

The 62-year-old maths whiz will be hosting the ceremony again where the night will pay tribute to many inspiring Brits from all walks of life.

Last year, Carol spoke out on Instagram to share that she’ll be recycling not one, but two dresses for the evening.

Posing in a red dress she wore in 2021, Carol penned: “So this year on @prideofbritain we’re taking this and upcycling our outfits and quite right too.

“Last year I wore this stunning red dress made by @suzanneneville on the stage to host the show. This year we’re adding a simple chiffon train and wearing it on the red carpet.

She wrote: “In the spirit of hand me downs and sustainability… @ashleybanjogram and I are wearing beautiful outfits for this years Pride of Britain which we’ve worn previously.”

Carol added: “Ash is wearing the suit he wore as best man at @jordbanjo wedding earlier this year and I’m wearing a stunning gown which I wore on stage for POB in 2018.

“The dress is a lovely silk and it’s been a great, sustainable process.”

Many of her 412K followers flocked to the comments section to give Carol support.

One person replied to her red dress saying: “Absolute show stopper jaw dropper of a dress.”

Leigh Francis, better known as his alter ego Keith Lemon, said: “Salute! If ya like you should wear it as many times as ya like!”

Another fan wrote: “What a brilliant message to highlight to people. Certainly nothing wrong with being sustainable.”

One fan who complimented the black dress said: “You look elegant in anything you wear!!”

Another commented: “You’re one of those lucky people who look lovely in whatever they wear!”

The Pride of Britain Awards will be televised on ITV. Nominated by members of the public, the winners will be celebrated for their extraordinary achievements and it is certain to be an awe-inspiring evening.
