Meghan Markle the feminist royal: Prince Harry wife will differ wildly to Kate Middleton

Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, have a lot in common, and have credited their love of charity work and giving back for their love.

Their romance is a far cry from that of university lovebirds Prince William, 35, and Kate Middleton, 36, who met at the tender age of 18.

Meghan and Harry, on the other hand, met much later in life, when Meghan had already developed a highly successful career for herself, and a net worth of £3.2 million.

Now an expert has told Express.co.uk that they expect Meghan Markle will make for a far different duchess to Kate.

Unlike shy and retiring Kate, who avoids public speaking for the most part, Meghan Markle is poised to take a vocal role.

The Suits actress showed her keenness to take centre stage when she made a speech at the Endeavour Awards.

Royal expert Kelly Lynch and managing editor of Dailybreak said said: “Meghan’s training as an actress allows for the kind of self confidence that took Kate a few years to build up.

“Mind you, Kate never willingly sought out the spotlight; she just happened to fall in love with a public figure.

“Meghan, on the other hand, grew up in Hollywood (her dad was a cinematographer) and works in an industry where your job is to stand out.”

She said: “Meghan’s had practice in working with charities in her previous role as an actress; she was a strong advocate for both women’s health and youth leadership, and her involvement was apparent through the various essays she penned for publications like Elle UK and Time Magazine.
