Gabby Logan, 49, joined the BBC as a regular presenter in 2007 but has only now opened up on the pressure she feels every time she heads to social media, especially in light of Gary Lineker’s recent scandal.
The Welsh presenter told the Daily Star that broadcasters have to “be careful how you express yourself” nowadays.
She added that she “thinks about” what she says on social media as well as “what the repercussions are going to be”.
However, this isn’t only due to her employment with the BBC. As a public figure, Gabby is often the target of countless online critics.
Gabby noted that she is scared to share her real opinion after seeing the intense backlash some of her colleagues get when they do it.

She added: “Sometimes it’s easier not to say things on Twitter, because you enter into a debate with faceless people who you don’t know.”
Gary has since returned to his usual post at the BBC as Match of the Day presenter after sparking an impartiality debate earlier this month.
The Twitter row began when home secretary Suella Braverman put forward her highly controversial plans attempting to manage the migrant crisis posed by arrivals in small boats over the English Channel.
Gary commented on a short clip of the home secretary explaining the policy writing: “Good heavens, this is beyond awful.”
As Gabby noted, the star quickly became embroiled in an online debate, which eventually lead to him responding with: “There is no huge influx. We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries. This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s, and I’m out of order?”
This tweet became a national scandal as it brought up the argument over impartiality by journalists online, and Gary was briefly suspended during the height of the debate.
Gabby garnered some criticism online when she continued to front coverage of the Six Nations tournament while other sport presenters refused to go on air.
However, she revealed to the Daily Star: “I wasn’t involved. I’m not really sure what happened that Saturday in terms of the football department.”
