Avengers Infinity War: Kevin Feige – ‘NOBODY will get tired of Marvel superhero movies’

After 10 years and 18 movies, over 80 characters from the Cinematic Universe will share the screen in Avengers Infinity War and its 2019 sequel Avengers 4.

We’re very much in the golden age of superhero movies, but how long will it be before audiences are fed up of the comic-book folk?

Other studios have followed the trend, such as Warner Bros’ DC Extended Universe, so surely the bubble will burst at some point.

However Disney’s Marvel have 20 more movies planned for the MCU and chief Feige reckons it’s the studio that will get tired before audiences do.

Speaking with Vulture, he said: “For years, predating the history of Marvel Studios itself, people asked me about superhero fatigue and if it was a fad or a phase.

“I say, if they’re all different, if they’re all special, nobody will get tired of these things before we at Marvel Studios will, since we live and breathe these things 24 hours a day.

“You make films like Thor: Ragnarok, like [Spider-Man] Homecoming, like Guardians [of the Galaxy], certainly like [Black] Panther, and the upcoming [Avengers] Infinity War to keep it interesting and change it up. And we will continue to do that.”

Feige said: “The truth of the matter as I understand it is the deal has to be figured out. There’s been no communication. We’re not thinking about it. We’re focusing on everything we’ve already announced.

“If and when the deal actually happens, we’ll start to think more about it. Until then, we have a lot to do. … It would be years away.”
