Sean Connery reveals the REAL reason he turned down Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones 4

Back in 1989 Connery played Indy’s father, Henry Jones, in the third outing of the series, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

After a gap of almost two decades, a fourth film called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was announced.

It’s been 10 years since it was released and fans will remember that Connery’s character was killed off.

However, in a newly unearthed interview, the Hollywood Reporter have discovered that Connery actually turned down returning.

Last year Ford said: “I’m looking forward to working with Steven [Spielberg] again and to revisiting the character later in life.

“It’s interesting to see it in a different light.  It will be fun and a good thing to do.”
