Big PlayStation games exclusive news as fans prepare for free PS Plus update

Sony PlayStation games fans have a lot to look forward to in 2018, with plenty of exclusives planned for launch.

With the likes of Spider-Man and God of War  launching this year on PS4, there’s plenty of single-player action to look forward to.

There’s a few titles that may have flown under the radar a little but will also likely prove very popular.

Some were recently announced during the PlayStation Experience, with one apparently launching on the PS4 way before the rival Xbox One.

This would be The Forest, a new crafting-survival game that has proven very popular on Steam Early Access.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The Forest sees you crash land on an Island, which appears to be inhabited by some rather savage Cannibals.

It’s reminiscent of games like ARK Survival Evolved, which proved a smash-hit when launched in 2017 on PS4.

The Forest pits you against surviving the elements and your unfriendly neighbours, while also providing a stand off approach when it comes to game progression.

“There are no missions, no NPC’s telling you what to do and no text in the middle of the screen telling you to ‘Follow.’” the team teased in a recent announcement blogspot.

“You know those parts in games where some character is yelling at you, telling you what to do and to do it faster? Those moments’ drive us crazy.

“When we’re in a game world we want to choose what we do and how we do it. This has been the driving force behind all the decisions we make.

“What would give players the most freedom and options. We think the best stories in games are the ones that occur on their own, the ones you experience naturally in the world.”

The best news is that the development team are aiming for some kind of Spring 2018 launch, which will mean another fresh multiplayer experience to try out very soon.

But while fans still have a little while to wait before they start battling for survival, more free PS Plus bonuses are on the way.

The final Monster Hunter World beta just kicked off and will be available until Monday, January 22.

The game has been making big waves since it was announced and the first reviews appear to show that Capcom are onto a winner.

The third beta contains new content, as players get to battle the game’s “terrifying and challenging flagship monster Nergigante”.

That’s on top of previous missions such as ‘Great Devourer, Great Jagras’, ‘Wildspire Rampage’ and ‘The Ancient Forest Menace’.

As the names suggest, these missions take place in the Ancient Forest and the Wildspire Waste.

And it’s not the only new PS Plus bonus coming soon for subscribers.

PS4 owners have been given a big PlayStation Plus bonus ahead of the February 2018 free games reveal.

Sony is running a new promotion in which PS4 users can get a PS Plus subscription at a reduced price.

Fans can pick up a 15 month PlayStation Plus subscription for the price of an annual membership.

Costing £49.99, the PS Plus offer is available from now until January 24 on the PlayStation Store.

Anybody who grabs the offer will be eligible for the current batch of PlayStation Plus free games.
