Major TV and pop celebrities were constantly brought in with a fanfare of press each time to take over a lead role and keep interst in the show high. It worked and the London revival ran from 1997 to 2012. It was a game-changing tactic and helped reinvigorate London’s theatreland.

The new production of Kander and Ebbs iconic show will celebrate the 21st Anniversary of that revival.

In true “razzle dazzle ’em” fashion, the producers have brought in a major Hollywood leading man to high kick it all off.

Cuba Gooding Jr has never sung on film or stage before but the video below proves he has been hiding an impressive talent. The Oscar-winner will take the iconic role of Billy Flynn, played by Richard Gere in the smash hit movie.
