Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar release dates REVEALED for PS4, Xbox One DLC

Battlefield 1 has finally been given a release date by EA.

In fact, the Battlefield 1 DLC has been given two release dates for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Giving fans the best reason yet to purchase a season pass, Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar has been given a September 5 release date for Premium Pass holders.

This will be followed by a full release as a standalone pack on September 19.

The upcoming DLC shifts the action to the Eastern front, where players will join the Russian army in what is described as the most extensive Battlefield expansion to date.

In the Name of the Tsar features six new maps, as well as a host of new weapons, vehicles and calvary.

New maps includeย Lupkow Pass, Albion, Galicia and Brusilov Keep, while weapons include the Mosin-Nagant M91 and the Russian Standard 1912 grenade.

Perhaps most exciting of all is the Supply Drop game mode, in which teams fight for supplies dropped by planes.

In the Name of the Tsar also adds female soldiers to the game as part of the first Russian Women’s Battalion of Death.

The accompanying update will introduce new visual options on PS4 Pro, Xbox One and PC.

“With the Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar update comes a new addition granting even higher fidelity and immersion to Battlefield 1: HDR10 support,” a post explains.

“HDR (High Dynamic Range) makes the visuals of Battlefield 1 even more stunning for owners of the required tech (a screen with HDR support together with a console/PC with HDR capabilities.)

“With an expanded contrast ratio and color palette, more realistic, immersive, and natural visuals will be possible.

“As you charge through the snowy Lupkow Pass or scout the dark alleys of Tsaritsyn, the light and dark areas will be more detailed, and look more similar to what the human eye would register.”
