BAFTA nominations 2018: When they’re announced, what time, and how to watch

The ceremony is next month, and Britain’s answer to the Oscars will reveal its shortlist very soon indeed.

The BAFTA nominations 2018 will be unveiled on Tuesday 9 January at 7:30am – live online.

A tweet from the official BAFTA account declares that they will be unveiled live on Facebook and Twitter, as well as on the BAFTA website. Express.co.uk will also provide coverage.

The nominations will come just two days after the Golden Globes; which took place late last night.

Expected to fare well are the usual suspects of the current awards season, with Gary Oldman presumably a shoe-in for Best Actor after playing Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.

The EE Rising Star Award nominees have already been announced, and public voting is now open.

Contenders there include Timothee Chalamet, Josh O’Connor, Daniel Kaluuya, Florence Pugh and Tessa Thompson.

The BAFTAs will once again take place at the Royal Albert Hall on February 18.
