Long Island man missing after plunging from boat while fishing with son

A Long Island man is missing after he plunged into a bay while fishing with his teenage son on Saturday morning, police said.

Christopher Calma, 50, fell overboard and into Northport Bay in Huntington around 9:30 a.m., Suffolk County Police said.

Calma was out on a 22-foot Sea Fox Commander with his 14-year-old son, according to cops.

Suffolk and Nassau County police, along with the United States Coast Guard, various fire departments and the Huntington Harbor Master are searching for Calma, who wasn’t wearing a life vest, according to Newsday.

The boy was not hurt, WABC reported.
