Chris Coleman is set to become the new Sunderland manager after resigning as manager of Wales last week.
And the Mirror claim Arsenal hero Henry is on the Welsh FA’s shortlist to replace him.
Henry currently combines his works as a Sky Sports pundit with the No2 gig with Belgium.
He did previously work with Arsenal but left due to a conflict of interest with his work for Sky.
But the 40-year-old could now be set for the main job with Wales.

“Just thank you [to all Wales fans]. A huge thank you for everything you’ve given to me and the team for the last six years.
“You’ve been absolutely amazing. Diolch, thank you.”
The FAW are now on the hunt for Coleman’s replacement and he believes his successor must be Welsh.
“It needs to be a passionate Welshman for me,” he said. “But I obviously don’t make that decision, that will be the powers that be.
“But it needs to be another Welshman, for sure.”
