Call of Duty WW2 beta COUNTDOWN – PS4 beta ends TODAY, end time, free beta codes

Call of Duty WW2 fans have just hours left to play the beta on the PS4, but there is still time to grab a free beta code before today’s end time.

The Call of Duty WW2 beta had a release date on PS4 on August 25, starting at 6pm BST (10am PT).

Codes for the Private Beta were only available to those in the UK and US for those who had pre-ordered a copy of Call of Duty WW2 at first.

However, a work-around was reported by Express.co.uk last week – with free codes available if PS4 users signed up for a Hong Kong PSN account.

The simple trick only takes a few minutes. Call of Duty fans just need to  sign up for a Hong Kong account by visiting the PlayStation website

They can then download the Call of Duty WW2 beta without pre-ordering the game.

The Call of Duty WW2 beta on the PS4 has an end time of 6pm BST (10am PT) today, but fans do not have long to wait for the next beta period.

A second beta period – this time for PS4 and Xbox One – begins on September 1 at 6pm BST (10am PT) and finishes on September 4 at the same time.

PS4 owners don’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription to try the multiplayer beta, but Xbox One users will need an Xbox Live Gold account.

The other way to have gained Call of Duty WW2 beta codes was to have attended gaming festival Insomnia61 over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Insomnia61 has been taking place at the Birmingham NEC from August 25 until August 28.

Tickets are available from £26.14 from the festival website.

These two betas are the only ones that will take place for console gamers before the Call of Duty WW2 release date of November 3.

Sledgehammer studio head Michael Condrey has said a PC beta is “coming”, but no set start date and time has been given.

The Call of Duty WW2 beta features brand new maps and Sledgehammer’s upcoming War Mode experience.

CoD fans can also check out Operation Breakout in War Mode, enlist in all five divisions and check out the Pointe Du Hoc, Ardennes, and Gibraltar maps.

Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored, and Mountain Division character classes all feature alongside a limited progression system.

Call of Duty WW2 players will begin at Soldier Rank 1 and rank up to unlock weapons, scorestreaks, equipment, and Basic Training Skills.

New content is expected to be added during the Call of Duty WW2 beta.

Fans will be hoping that the unannounced content includes the recently revealed Headquarters social space.

Like Destiny’s Tower and Destiny 2’s The Farm, the new social space will be the hub for Call of Duty WW2 beta fans online.

It will give players the chance to practice in the firing range, earn rewards by manning AA guns and more.

There’s even a 1-v-1 multiplayer Pit, as well as a dedicated area to watch eSports matches.
