‘Sanctions will get you NOWHERE’ Kim fires back at ‘ridiculous’ Trump ahead of Asia tour

The US President is expected to send an uncompromising message to Pyongyang this week as he sets off on his highly anticipated tour of Asian nations tomorrow.

Mr Trump has repeatedly issued explosive warnings over the hermit state’s nuclear missile programme while upping tough economic sanctions on the already struggling state.

And continues to fight back in a dramatic war of words – this time vowing that will keep to its path of nuclear development regardless of US actions.

In a terrifying editorial in propaganda newspaper Uriminzokkiri, Pyongyang said

The article read: “The DPRK will dynamically advance on the road of triumph, firmly preserving its independent line in any storm and stress, no matter how desperately the enemies move to check it.

“The US is running wild in a bid to hold in check the advance of the DPRK for perfecting its state nuclear force.”

The text warned that North Korea will continue to build up its “self-defensive nuclear deterrent in order to put a definite end to the US imperialists’ outrageous nuclear threat and blackmail”.

And the article insisted that the nuclear weapons program will” pave an avenue to independent development and eternal prosperity” for all those living in North Korea.

The newspaper story added: “But for that nuclear deterrent, the US might have provoked a war on the Peninsula to make the Korean nation fall victim to a terrible nuclear disaster.

“It was proven by the tragic situation of the war-torn non-nuclear countries which became the targets of invasion and plunder by the US.

“It is ridiculous for the US to try to browbeat the DPRK through such muscle-flexing as deploying nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines near the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity and flying nuclear-capable strategic bombers on it.

“The US and its followers’ crazy escalation of sanctions, pressure and military threats to the DPRK will get them nowhere.”

Citing experts, she suggested North Korea could conduct its 23rd missile test this year to coincide with Mr Trump’s second major foreign trip between November 3 and 14.

She said: “What experts are telling me, though, is that there might be a missile test by North Korea while President Trump is travelling.

“That’s going to put him on the spot while he’s in China or South Korea.”

“So that would be huge. He’d have to decide then and there how to react.”
