Chelsea boss Antonio Conte BLASTS reports over his future and claims he is in control

The Italian let rip in an extraordinary rant following claims players had gone behind his back to share concerns over training with former assistant Steve Holland and he was also dismissive of suggestions Carlo Ancelotti was in line to replace him at Stamford Bridge.

Conte said: “Around us there is a lot of bulls**t.

“It is true [there is a lot of bulls**t]. If I see the past it happened the same with a lot of managers.

“A lot of bulls**t. They try to create problems between me, the club and the players.

“This is a lack of respect. I can accept reports the club is ready to sack me and the story with the players.

“I can accept this but to put another person in this way I think this is incorrect and it is not good that this person has to send me a message to tell me ‘I am sorry but this is not true.’

“Why put another person in this bulls**t. If you want to hit me, hit me. This is incorrect and I hate this type of situation.”

Conte has not found the going easy with Chelsea adrift in fourth after a glorious first season in English football, where he won the Premier League.

Recent reports in Italy quoted him as homesick, while the latest suggestions were passionately dismissed after phone conversations with both Holland and former Chelsea manager Ancelotti.

“I am in touch with Carlo, he is my friend but he doesn’t mean [know] nothing,” he said.

“Why, why? I don’t read a lot and the Holland issue I only knew because he sent me a message.

“I don’t care what the newspapers write about my future or the other person because this is our job and Carlo is my friend. I have great respect for him and he was my coach in Juventus.”

Chelsea will again be without key midfielder N’Golo Kante for this evening’s trip to Bournemouth but Conte expects him to return for the Champions League game with Roma.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe believes it is unthinkable that Conte is under so much pressure.

“He has brought a lot to the Premier League,” said Howe. “You see a lot of teams have now tinkered with three at the back, or five at the back, whatever you want to call it.

“He has played a massive part in that revolution.

“He has brought a lot of passion and drive to the side-line and you can see the demands that he has set on his team, that’s been fascinating to watch.”
