Jamie Carragher tweet about Ryan Giggs being Everton manager FOOLS Sky Sports’ Jim White

Manchester United fan Tate’s appearances on fan channel Full Time Devils went viral during David Moyes’ poor reign at the club.

Following the news Everton had sacked Ronald Koeman this afternoon, Carragher tweeted an infamous line from Tate when he wanted club legend Ryan Giggs to takeover from Moyes at United.

“Give it Giggsy until the end of the season,” Carragher wrote.

The tweet has received almost 7,000 retweets and 23,000 likes since it was posted at 1.43pm.

This evening, Giggs has revealed he would be interested in the Goodison Park post, as well as the Leicester job.

Giggs said: “I think you look at those two teams, Leicester being champions two seasons ago, Everton being a fantastic club with a fantastic history, for me these are clubs I would be interested in.”

While discussing the departure of Koeman, White was keen to get Carragher’s reaction on the news, especially after he seemed to back Giggs’ appointment earlier today.

“Tonight we hear Ryan Giggs would indeed be interested in the managerial job at Everton or indeed at Leicester City Jamie,” White said.

“That’s something, you’ve been on social media I think tonight regarding Everton and saying ‘well Giggs would be good for them’. Is that right?”

Carragher’s response was golden.

“It was a wind-up Jim!” the former defender said.

“Oh it was a wind-up was it? Well you’ve wound us all up with that one!” White replied.

It became clear White did not know who Tate was, with Carragher saying: “‘Give it Giggsy til the end of the season’. Have you not heard that one before?”

White then asked what he thought of Giggs’ comments and Jamie Carragher does not believe he will be in with a chance of getting the top job at Everton.

“Well he must have taken my tweet serious as well, Ryan himself,” the pundit joked in reply.

“Listen, I don’t think Ryan Giggs will be in the running for the Everton job, no disrespect.

“He wants to get into management, he’s had an apprenticeship at Manchester United under some great managers.

“But I don’t think he would be in the running for the Everton job.”
