Pokemon Go event explained: Mimikyu news, Gen 3 release and Halloween bonus

As you might already know, Pokemon Go players will be getting a new limited-time event.

It will be based around the Halloween season, offering both bonuses and new Pokemon to catch.

Niantic have now confirmed that a few new types will be arriving tomorrow, including Sableye, Banette and a few other Hoenn region specials.

This includes: Shuppet, Duskull and Dusclops, although there could also be a few other surprises being cooked up.

The Halloween celebration will start on October 20 at 12:00 P.M. PDT and run until November 2 at 1:00 P.M. PDT.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

It’s not clear if these new Pokemon will stick around afterward; Niantic have confirmed that the rest of the Gen 3 pack won’t arrive until December.

Niantic also have a few other items launching as seasonal options, including a special Halloween Pikachu and Pichu in witch hats.

Trainers will also be able to dress up their avatar for the occasion by wearing Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat.

This will be a free bonus for those who play the game, with the Halloween celebration also adding some special Candy bonuses too.

You can earn double Candy rewards from catching, hatching, and transferring Pokemon.

Buddy Pokemon will also find Candy twice as fast during the Halloween celebration, while the special boxes from the in-game shop are also returning.

These will feature items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators which will likely come in handy in the future.

Niantic didn’t mention whether a new spooky remix of the Lavender Town soundtrack would be released as a special bonus during the upcoming event.

This was found by dataminer but not mentioned by the development in their new Halloween announcement.

There’s also evidence to suggest that a new Halloween-themed map display may appear at night.

Fans may have to wait until tomorrow when the new Pokemon Go event kicks off to find out for sure.

It would seem strange to include such things in the game’s master code and then not use them.

Other datamining efforts also found evidence for the inclusion of shiny-ghost Pokemon, although these may be being kept back for another purpose.
