One fan took to Twitter to write: “Why is Shamal George back so early?”
While another said: “Looks like Shamal George has returned to Liverpool following his loan spell at Carlisle.”

A boyhood fan of the club, he is described by Liverpool as “a good communicator and shot-stopper”
He was included in the first-team squad for their 2016 pre-season tour of the USA but endured a frustrating season due to injury.
Liverpool say he has been sent to Carlisle “to build up senior experience”.
