Paige DeSorbo Shares Thoughts on Ex Craig Conover’s New Relationship

Paige DeSorbo, the star of Summer House, has shared her sentiments regarding her former partner Craig Conover’s new girlfriend. The reality star offered an approving opinion on Conover’s relationship, signaling a possible end to post-split tensions. This comes after their public breakup and allegations of infidelity, all closely followed by fans of both Summer House and Southern Charm.

“I love it, I’m so happy for him,” the 32-year-old stated during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Wednesday, April 23, when queried about her feelings about Conover’s new love interest, Natalie Buffett.

DeSorbo and Conover’s romance blossomed in the summer of 2021 after connecting during the inaugural season of Winter House. The pair maintained a long-distance relationship—Conover residing in South Carolina and DeSorbo in New York City—for three years before ultimately ending their relationship in November 2024.

Since their separation, the former couple has engaged in verbal sparring and faced accusations of disloyalty, which they have both refuted. In March, Us Weekly exclusively reported that Conover had moved on with Buffett.

Addressing Past Comments and Accusations

During her conversation with host Andy Cohen on Wednesday, DeSorbo addressed Conover’s prior appearance on WWHL in February. He was asked if he “cosigned” her assertions that she “never cheated physically or emotionally” during their relationship, however Conover avoided the matter claiming he did “not want to be involved” in the rumors due to DeSorbo initiating the breakup.

DeSorbo responded by telling Cohen that she “didn’t need” Conover to defend her at that moment, however, “I did need him not to lean into it.”

When asked about how she felt about Summer House castmate Kyle Cooke labeling her ex a “liar,” DeSorbo responded, “I think Kyle nailed it.” (Cooke, 42, claimed Conover has “a reputation of lying and he lied to me” during a May 2024 episode of WWHL. The two were at odds over Conover’s decision to invest in sparkling cocktail company Sparkling Spritz seemingly without consulting Cooke, who owns competing brand Loverboy.)

Reflecting on Their Relationship

In spite of post-breakup friction between DeSorbo and Conover, the reality television personality ensured to convey that the affection between the pair was authentic.

“I don’t ever want people to think I was leading Craig on. I loved him, I wanted to marry him,” she confessed to Cohen on Wednesday. “That was real. … [You could see me] over the summer working through all of those emotions in real time. I could see my brain working.”

However, according to DeSorbo, tying the knot at BravoCon—which Conover claimed was discussed during the Southern Charm season 10 finale—was never a serious consideration. “Do I look like the kind of person who has a convention center in my wedding invitation?” she joked to Cohen.

Much of season 10 of Southern Charm and season 9 of Summer House centered around the deteriorating relationship between DeSorbo and Conover, featuring numerous discussions on the possibility of marriage. While Conover repeatedly told his costars of intentions to propose, DeSorbo stressed that her burgeoning career kept her too engaged to settle down and relocate to South Carolina permanently.

Southern Charm resumed filming in January after wrapping up season 10 initially, in order to catch up with Conover following the breakup, where he alleged that DeSorbo ended their relationship during Thanksgiving 2024 so she could “find” herself.

He explained that he had believed things were fine between them before DeSorbo officially ended it. “Paige and I had a great Thanksgiving together,” he told his costars during the finale. “Everything was normal at her parents. Our chemistry, like, everything. Then a couple weeks later she called me and was like, ‘We gotta talk.'”

DeSorbo revealed on a Summer House episode that she had “caught” Conover “texting two b*tches in the course of our relationship.”

She reinforced these statements in an interview with Vulture this month, stating, “Honestly, I don’t know if it was platonic or anything more. But there were multiple times in our relationship where I gave him so much grace.” (Conover refuted these accusations during a February appearance on the Tamron Hall show, claiming the Summer House footage was “part of our breakup” and instead “filmed later on” and a “retaliatory scene.”)
