Ghost of Yōtei: A New Chapter Unveiled for PS5

Almost five years have passed since the launch of Ghost of Tsushima, and during that time, we’ve dedicated ourselves to making Ghost of Yōtei truly exceptional. Although the narratives are distinct, we are committed to ensuring this title is a deserving continuation of Jin’s legacy. We eagerly anticipate your opportunity to experience Atsu’s pursuit of retribution later this year.
The Onryō’s List: A Tale of Betrayal and Revenge
Accompanying today’s update is our new trailer for Ghost of Yōtei, titled “The Onryō’s List.” Sixteen years prior, in the heart of Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido), a band of criminals known as the Yōtei Six stole everything from Atsu. They murdered her kinfolk and left her to perish, pinned to a burning ginkgo tree outside her home. Yet, Atsu endured. She mastered combat, assassination, and hunting. After years of exile, she has returned with a roster of six names: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.
More Than Just Revenge
One by one, she is systematically hunting them down to avenge her family, wielding the very katana that once held her captive. However, while Atsu’s saga commences with vengeance, her journey will evolve beyond mere retribution. As Atsu traverses Ezo, she will encounter improbable comrades and establish bonds that instill a renewed sense of purpose.
Exploring the Open World of Ezo
We trust that the glimpses provided in today’s trailer offer a taste of what to anticipate from Ghost of Yōtei. In addition to revealing the Yōtei Six, you’ll see some of Ezo’s stunning landscapes, a selection of Atsu’s new weaponry, several of her allies, and a new gameplay element that allows you to perceive Atsu’s past and comprehend all that was seized from her.
Freedom and Variety in Gameplay
However, this is just the start. In Ghost of Yōtei, we have refined and enhanced the method of open-world exploration, granting greater autonomy and diversity than in Ghost of Tsushima. You will determine the paths to pursue, selecting which Yōtei Six member to pursue first. Atsu can also pursue other perilous targets and collect bounties, or seek out weapon masters to acquire new skills. Ezo is untamed, both deadly and beautiful. As you journey across the open world, you’ll encounter unexpected dangers and serene moments. You can also establish a campfire anywhere in the open world to rest under the stars. We aim for you to have the liberty to explore Ezo according to your preferences, and we eagerly await the opportunity to reveal more.
Pre-Order Details and Editions
We are excited to announce that pre-orders for Ghost of Yōtei will commence next week, offering you a selection of distinct editions.
Pre-Order Bonuses
As a bonus, if you pre-order any version of Ghost of Yōtei, you’ll receive an exclusive in-game mask and a set of seven PSN avatars showcasing concept art of Atsu and the Yōtei Six upon release. PlayStation Store pre-orders will get the avatars immediately.
Standard Edition

Digital Deluxe Edition
