“Busy [Philipps] and Michelle [Williams] are very, very close and Katie and I are very close,” Jackson, 46, revealed on the “Dinner’s on Me With Jesse Tyler Ferguson” podcast, broadcasted Tuesday, April 22, offering insights into the cast’s group communication. “It’s not a daily call.”
He elaborated on the nature of their connection:
- “Sometimes it’s not a weekly or monthly or even a half-yearly call.”
- “But when you’re together, A) there’s always that, like, I know you know.”
- “There’s probably no other people in your life that you are that forged to ‘cause you had to go through good and bad, and happy and ‘f*** you,’ and don’t talk to me and I love you. … But life happens.”
‘Dawson’s Creek’ Legacy
Jackson, known for his role as Pacey Witter on The WB’s Dawson’s Creek, a coming-of-age drama centered around a group of tight-knit friends, starred alongside Holmes (Joey Potter), James Van Der Beek (Dawson Leery), and Michelle Williams (Jen Lindley). The series aired from 1998 to 2003. During the show’s run, Jackson and Holmes were also romantically involved, but they professionally continued their on-screen relationship even after their breakup.
Supporting James Van Der Beek
“[The show] forges you, and even James is going through something truly terrible right now,” Jackson mentioned to Ferguson, 49, referring to Van Der Beek’s ongoing battle with cancer. “I wish I could take credit for this, but I was kind of the absentee partner here. The girls all got together and said, ‘We need to do something to help this guy out.’”
