Embark on a magical journey to unlock Alice in Dreamlight Valley! After unlocking the Wonderland realm for 15,000 Dreamlight, your quest begins. However, gaining entry to Wonderland isn’t as simple as entering other realms via the Dream Castle. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough of the quests required to bring Alice to your valley, including navigating the Wonders of Wonderland and solving Teeny, Tiny Problems.
Unlocking Alice: A Wonderland Walkthrough
Once inside the Wonderland realm, remove the Night Thorns to trigger a peculiar event: the door shrinks, and a White Rabbit dashes out. Follow Merlin’s advice and pursue the rabbit throughout the valley. Eventually, you will fall into a rabbit hole, transporting you to Wonderland. Upon arrival, you’ll encounter Alice, but before inviting her to your valley, you must fulfill her requests.
Completing the Wonders of Wonderland Quest
Upon meeting Alice, she tasks you with following her to the Queen of Hearts’ garden. This mission quickly takes a turn as Alice vanishes into the forest. Your next objective is to locate Alice by tracking her footprints to the Cheshire Cat’s tree. The mischievous Cheshire Cat offers assistance, but first, you must find three Cheshire Cat faces scattered throughout the realm.
Locating the Cheshire Cat Faces
- The first smile is on a bush to the right of the Cheshire Cat’s location.
- The second smile is on a red tree after turning right again and then left.
- The third smile is on a rock straight ahead from the red tree.
After gathering all three faces, return to the Cheshire Cat. He then asks you to collect the following ingredients from chests:
- 1 x Lemon
- 1 x Butter
- 1 x Tea Leaves
- 1 x Wonderland Salt
- 2 x Wonderland Sugar
Finding the Wonderland Chests
Note that chests in Wonderland are disguised. Search each area of the forest for bright pink objects like rocks, logs, or bushes. Interact with these objects to transform them into normal chests and retrieve the necessary ingredients. Each area contains at least one chest, making the search relatively straightforward.

Navigating to the Queen of Hearts’ Garden
After creating “More Time”, navigate through the forest to find Alice. From the realm’s entrance, proceed straight ahead and turn right at the dead end. This path leads to the Mushroom Forest and a portal within a tree. Enter the portal to reach the Queen of Hearts’ garden.
Pulling the Levers
To reach Alice, pull four levers located throughout the Queen of Hearts’ labyrinth. These levers are situated along the path, so avoiding the card guards is key to a smooth run. After exiting the labyrinth, you will be reunited with a shrunken Alice, concluding the Wonders of Wonderland quest and initiating the next.
Tackling the Teeny, Tiny Problems Quest
Speaking with Alice reveals her plight; she needs assistance. The solution? Seek guidance from the Cheshire Cat. The Cheshire Cat informs you to gather four ingredients to craft a bottle of “Contrary Perfume,” formulated to restore Alice to her regular stature.
Gathering Ingredients for Contrary Perfume
- Jar of Heart Candies: Fish from the pond near the realm entrance.
- Discontinued Seeds: Water the smaller flowers either side of the larger singing flower.
- A small blue mushroom: Find this near the big blue mushroom at the realm’s beginning.
- Wonderland Plaque: Answer the pencil-headed bird’s riddles
Answering the Bird’s Riddles
To obtain the Wonderland Plaque, interact with the pencil-headed bird atop a stack of books in the first area. Answer these five questions correctly:
- How many stripes? 6 stripes
- Which rabbit? White Rabbit
- What kind of birthday? An unbirthday
- How many? 20
- What number? 5
Crafting and Using the Contrary Perfume
With all the ingredients in hand, craft the Contrary Perfume at a crafting station. Return to Alice and use the perfume to restore her to her normal size. Alice then asks for your help freeing woodland creatures trapped in crates, but the keys are hidden on the table.
Navigating the Tabletop
To reach the keys, gather items to make navigating the table easier:
- Lovely Dice: Located on the floor near the white rose bushes on the right side of the area.
- Playing Cards: Found to the left of the table.
- Lost Marbles: Located at the back right-hand corner.
After collecting these items, interact with the table to shrink yourself down. The four keys are hidden within objects on the table:
- Sugar Pot Key: Dissolve the sugar pot with your watering can.
- Cupcake Frosting Key: Dig the key out with your shovel.
- Teacup Key: Break the teapot behind the teacup with your pickaxe to flood the cup and then fish the key out.
- The fourth key is lying on the floor
Return to Alice and free the animals to complete the Teeny, Tiny Problems quest.
Concluding the Adventure: The Leaving Wonderland Quest
After freeing the animals, the garden is in disarray. Alice insists on cleaning up before returning to the valley. Cleanup includes painting the white roses red, clearing smashed plates, and dealing with burrow holes. The smashed plates are around the tea party table and burrow holes need digging up with your shovel.
Painting the Roses Red
Alice provides a bucket of red paint. Combine this with your watering can. Then, water the white rose bushes with the red concoction to turn them red.
Departing Wonderland
Once the cleanup is complete, meet Alice at the realm’s entrance to seek the Cheshire Cat’s help in leaving. Four clusters of colorful mushrooms appear. You must light the correct ones to create an exit door. Lighting only the pink and blue mushrooms makes the exit door appear, but its too small. So Use the Contrary Perfume with your Watering Can and water the door to make it bigger
Back in the valley, place Alice’s house, which costs 5,000 Star Coins to build. Upon completion, the “Welcome Alice” screen appears, marking the successful addition of Alice to your Dreamlight Valley.
