American Pie star Jason Biggs looked unrecognizable as he unveiled his dramatic weight-loss while attending an event in New York City this week.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com at the 2025 City Harvest Gala: Carnaval on Tuesday, the actor, 46, revealed that he’s lost a whopping 40lbs.

And despite Hollywood’s Ozempic craze, Biggs said that his weight-loss was the result of a major lifestyle change as well as ‘stress’ from directing his first film.

During the event, Biggs looked extremely svelte in a fitted navy blue suit, white dress shirt and leather loafers.

Beaming with confidence, Biggs happily posed for photographers before heading into the annual fundraising event, which he hosted at NYC’s Cipriani 42nd Street.

‘A part of it was I directed my first movie. Probably the most stressed I’ve ever been in my life, professionally anyway. So that contributed a little bit,’ he told DailyMail.com of his incredible weight-loss.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com at the 2025 City Harvest Gala: Carnaval on Tuesday, the actor, 46, revealed that he’s lost a whopping 40lbs

‘It was just so much adrenaline and rushed and the schedule and stuff.’

Instead of starving himself, Biggs — who is a self-admitted ‘ice cream man’ — said that he focused on eating ‘healthier food’ and exercising more frequently.

‘No it’s just healthier food. I was eating crap. I bike ride. I bike a lot. I go up the west side highway to New Jersey. It’s one of my favorite things to do,’ he shared.

While he is happy with his shock transformation, Biggs said it wasn’t exactly his ‘goal’ to lose 40lbs.

‘I don’t know if it was this much but I wanted to lose weight. I wanted to bring my cholesterol down and I brought it down.’

As for how long it took for him to shed the unwanted weight, Biggs said that it took about ‘a year and a half.’

‘It’s been a few years that I keep trying [to lose weight] and it’s forward and back, forward and back. And I guess it really stuck — I don’t know, a year and a half,’ he told DailyMail.com.

When asked if he’d ever try weight-loss drugs like Ozempic to achieve a slimmer physique, Biggs didn’t seem opposed to the idea.

He also appeared optimistic that semaglutide injections could be beneficial for those, like himself, with addiction issues. Biggs has been sober from alcohol since 2017.

‘Yeah I mean, why not? I’ve heard nothing but good things. I’ve actually heard – because I’m sober alcoholic – I heard it has benefits for that which would make sense,’ he revealed.

‘Like it helps cravings because it’s sort of the same part of the brain I guess. It’s a mind thing but it’s also a stomach thing. I don’t know but it makes sense to me that there have been some studies that show that it actually helps with addiction issues.

‘So that’s super super cool. That’s something I’m very passionate about so if it can help addicts and alcoholics then f*** yeah!’ Biggs said.

While 40lbs is a ton of weight to lose, Biggs told DailyMail.com that he isn’t exploring surgery to remove any extra, loose skin.

‘Oh God no. I haven’t lost that much. I’m just working out as well, trying to turn it into muscle, hopefully,’ he said.

With the likes of Matt Damon and Channing Tatum swearing off ‘fat roles,’ Biggs was asked if he’d ever turn down an acting gig that required him to gain weight.

‘Oh I don’t care. I’ll take any role,’ he replied.

Biggs has struggled with his weight in the years since becoming a household name for his role in the R-rated comedy film American Pie (1999).

In 2015, the New Jersey-born actor faced body-shaming by tabloids after photos of him sporting extra pounds began circulating online.

Biggs rose to fame over two decades ago after starring in the R-rated comedy film American Pie (1999)

In a 2018 interview, Biggs credited his longtime Jenny Mollen, 45 — who he said ‘works out all the time’ and grew up in a ‘health-centered and workout-oriented’ household — for modeling healthy behaviors for him; the couple seen in 2023

He publicly addressed the talk around his body in a hilarious Instagram post, where he joked that his weight gain was the result of his ‘coke dealer’ being in prison.

‘Hey lay off me my coke dealer has been in prison ok?!’ he said in response to one harsh headline by PageSix.

While Biggs hasn’t spoken much about his weight struggles, he did previously speak about his health in an interview with DailyMail.com’s FEMAIL in 2018.

‘I would say I’m average to maybe slightly better than average in terms of taking care of myself,’ he revealed.

While Biggs enjoys running, biking and playing tennis, he admitted that working out is something that’s ‘very cyclical’ for him.

He also credited his longtime Jenny Mollen, 45 — who he said ‘works out all the time’ and grew up in a ‘health-centered and workout-oriented’ household — for modeling healthy behaviors for him.

‘I’m married to a very healthy person. Jenny works out all the time. She eats very healthy,’ he revealed.

‘I get some of the residual effect of that, which is great, but for the most part, my working out — I think it’s like most people. It’s very cyclical.’

Biggs said he will get into intense working out ‘streaks’ before eventually calling it quits.

‘I’ll get into some streaks where I’m running a lot, or biking a lot, or playing tennis. If I’m doing any sort of workout, those are the three things I’m doing. But then I’ll stop and I won’t do it for a week at a time.’

He said that he and Mollen often take walks near their NYC home and around the city as a way to promote exercise and healthy living to their two children: Sid, 10, and Lazlo, seven.

‘We do a lot of walks. We live in the city so we walk to school, we walk around, we go on walks on the weekend,’ Biggs explained.

He added: ‘[Jenny also] wants to pass on healthy eating habits to our kids and I’m all for that, and so I get some of the benefit of that.’

Biggs — who described himself as an ‘ice cream man’ — admitted that he sometimes dips into his junk food ‘stash’ once his children are asleep.

‘But at 11 pm when everyone’s in bed and I’m a little hungry I’m not going to go in and have a thing of seaweed. I want something much less healthy than that.

‘That’s me, but I definitely eat way better than I used to since I’ve met Jenny. There’s no question,’ he said.
