Influencer Hannah Campbell Pays Tribute to Late Daughter Elliana Rose
Hannah Campbell, a prominent influencer, is commemorating her daughter, Elliana Rose, who tragically died at the young age of 10 months. Elliana Rose passed away after battling junctional epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare and painful skin condition. Campbell shared her emotional journey of grief and remembrance on TikTok, including preparing for Elliana’s funeral service.
Mourning and Remembrance on Social Media
“Today we dress with heavy hearts to celebrate a life that changed ours forever. This is for you, Ellie,” Campbell expressed in a TikTok video posted on Sunday, April 13. The poignant video depicted her getting ready for Elliana’s funeral, applying makeup, styling her hair, and dressing in black attire.
Additional footage shared on TikTok featured her husband, Jacob Campbell, and their other daughter, Ember, also preparing for the memorial service, highlighting the family’s shared grief.
Elliana’s Battle with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)
On April 8, Hannah Campbell publicly announced the heartbreaking loss of Elliana, who succumbed to complications from junctional epidermolysis bullosa (EB). This inherited disorder, often manifesting in infancy, results in severe skin blistering and has no known cure, according to the Mayo Clinic. Infants with EB are often referred to as “butterfly children” due to the extreme fragility of their skin.
“In loving memory of Ellie,” Campbell conveyed in another TikTok video at the time of her daughter’s passing. “She passed peacefully last night, wrapped in love.”

In her caption, she continued to express her profound sorrow and determination, “I don’t know what to do with myself today. I’m heartbroken, and I’m angry. No child should have to endure what she did. EB stole her from us. Let’s fight for a cure so no other family has to feel this. Thank you for loving her with us.”
Dermatologist Dr. Diana Reusch Attends Funeral
On the day of Elliana’s funeral service, Campbell released another TikTok video featuring her daughter’s dermatologist, Dr. Diana Reusch, who traveled to attend the service, demonstrating the profound impact Elliana’s case had on her medical team.
Dr. Reusch provided further insight into Elliana’s condition, stating in the video, “Hannah and Jacob knew that Ellie had EB, but they hadn’t gotten clarity yet about exactly what subtype Ellie had. Ellie was not only at risk for extensive skin wounds, but also respiratory and Nutritional issues.”
Prognosis and Hope for Future Treatments
Dr. Reusch explained the grim prognosis for children born with EB, noting that they are often not expected to survive infancy. “Ellie was fighting for her life since the day that she was born,” she added. “There’s no way that Ellie’s parents could have known ahead of time or prevented Ellie’s condition.”
Acknowledging the current limitations in treating EB, Dr. Reusch stated, “There is currently no cure for EB,” and shared the emotional weight of conveying this to Elliana’s parents: “I can’t begin to tell you how awful that felt to tell Hannah and Jacob there is nothing that Ellie’s parents could have done to change what happened.”
Despite the present challenges, Dr. Reusch offered a glimmer of optimism, “The encouraging news is that I do think there is hope on the horizon as science and gene therapy advances. We’re not there yet, but in the years to come I think we can get there,” suggesting potential future breakthroughs in treating epidermolysis bullosa.
