Actress Minka Kelly has expressed her admiration for boyfriend Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons, stating she believes he is universally likable. The Friday Night Lights star shared insights into her relationship with Reynolds, revealing the musician’s positive impact during a visit to the set of her upcoming Netflix series, Ransom Canyon. His presence and potential cameo delighted the cast and crew alike.
Reynolds’ Welcomed Visit to ‘Ransom Canyon’ Set
During an interview with People, published on April 17, Kelly recounted Reynolds’ visit and the warm reception he received. “He came to visit and everyone, all the producers and writers, just naturally fell in love with him,” Kelly remarked. “It’s easy to love Dan.”
Potential Cameo for the Imagine Dragons Frontman
Kelly, 44, and Reynolds, 37, have been romantically linked since 2022, although they generally maintain privacy regarding their personal life. However, the idea of Reynolds making a guest appearance on Ransom Canyon arose organically and was met with enthusiasm from both the couple and the production team.
“They just asked one day, ‘Do you think he’d play this character?’ And I just was like, ‘Let me ask him,'” she explained. “And he was such a good sport and down to play.”
Co-star Josh Duhamel’s Positive Impression
Josh Duhamel, Kelly’s fellow actor in the series, corroborated the positive sentiments regarding Reynolds’ visit. Duhamel shared that Reynolds even participated in a scene alongside him and was a well-received addition to the set.
