Startling Video Emerges of Drunk Tourist’s Altercation in Pattaya Bar
Disturbing video footage has surfaced, depicting the moment an intoxicated foreign tourist ignited a chaotic scene at a bar in Pattaya, Thailand. The incident, which unfolded during Thai New Year festivities, shows the holidaymaker lifting a bar employee and harassing another female staff member before a bouncer intervened, ending the episode with a swift knockout.
Tourist’s Belligerent Behavior Precedes Brawl
The now-viral video captures the tourist confronting a bouncer outside the Pattaya establishment. Witnesses reported the man, speaking English, goading staff and allegedly challenging security personnel to a physical fight just before the altercation escalated.
CCTV Reveals Earlier Harassment
Newly released CCTV footage provides context to the public brawl, revealing the events leading up to the tourist’s humiliating defeat. The shirtless man is seen picking up a female bar worker, identified as May, who reportedly hit her head on an air conditioning unit during the unsolicited interaction.
While the 33-year-old bar worker initially laughed, she retreated to the bar, apparently seeking to avoid further interaction with the disruptive tourist.
Manager Intervenes, Tourist Persists
When the bar’s female manager stepped in to scold the man and separate him from the employee, he turned his inappropriate behavior towards her. The footage shows him leering, attempting unwanted kisses and embraces as she pushed him away.

Once outside, the tourist aggressively attempted to engage the bar’s security staff, posturing and seemingly trying to attract onlookers for a confrontation. However, a security guard decisively ended the spectacle by striking the man, causing him to fall. Further footage shows additional bar staff joining in after the initial blow.
Police Investigate Bar Incident
Following the video’s rapid spread online, police summoned the security personnel and the bar manager, identified as 37-year-old Phrae, for questioning.
The security guards, identified locally as Non, 36, and Nik, 37, acknowledged their involvement in the incident and stated they reacted after escorting the intoxicated tourist from the bar.
They admitted to attempting de-escalation before one guard reacted physically and reportedly regretted their lack of further restraint.
‘We initially attempted to escort him out of the premises,’ one guard reportedly told local media.
‘The manager even attempted to calm him down, but he refused to listen and continued to provoke other tourists.’
The security staff apologized for ‘giving in to their anger’ and for ‘damaging the reputation’ of the coastal tourist destination.
However, they maintained that CCTV evidence corroborated their account, showing the ‘heavily drunk’ tourist harassing a bar worker before turning his unwanted advances toward the female manager, attempting to kiss and embrace her.

He stated: ‘There may have been preceding events before the incident. However, its circulation on social media has cast a negative light on the area.’
