Justin Bieber’s Team Denies Reports of Singer Being Broke

Pop star Justin Bieber has refuted recent claims suggesting financial distress, labeling the reports as unfounded and driven by disgruntled sources. The denial comes after articles surfaced alleging the singer, known for hits like “Baby” and “Sorry,” is facing financial difficulties following the cancellation of his Justice World Tour. Representatives for Justin Bieber issued a statement Wednesday, dismissing the accusations as “clickbait stupidity.”

Team Condemns ‘Clickbait Stupidity’

Representatives for the 31-year-old musician addressed the rumors, characterizing them as “clickbait stupidity” originating from unreliable sources. These sources, according to Bieber’s team, are “disappointed that they no longer work with Justin,” suggesting a potential motive for spreading misinformation.

Response to The Hollywood Reporter Article

The statement was issued in response to an article published by The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. The article cited a former employee of Bieber’s team who claimed the artist was significantly in debt due to the cancellation of his Justice World Tour. The tour had been previously postponed multiple times due to health issues.

Speaking to Us Weekly, Bieber’s team vigorously denied these allegations, reiterating their stance against the claims.

‘This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin,’ the statement declared.

‘As Justin forges his own path forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will persist. However, they will not deter him from remaining dedicated to pursuing the correct course.’

Bieber’s representatives further told THR, ‘Any source attempting to sell a narrative of alleged financial hardship … either lacks understanding of the entertainment industry or, more likely, is attempting to portray Justin in a negative light, which is completely divorced from reality.’

The statement appeared within THR’s article titled ‘Justin Bieber’s Crisis of Faith?’

Financial Repercussions of Tour Cancellation

According to THR’s report, a source asserted that Bieber’s February 2023 announcement to cancel the remaining tour dates ‘triggered a series of financial consequences that are still affecting the artist today.’

The Justice World Tour was initially planned to commence in 2020 but faced delays due to the pandemic. It was further postponed in 2022 after Bieber’s Ramsay Hunt syndrome diagnosis, which caused facial paralysis.

In March 2023, the remaining tour dates were cancelled indefinitely.

The article further alleged that Bieber was not only broke but also owed a substantial debt—approximately $20 million, according to their sources—to tour promoter AEG. This purported debt stemmed from a reported $40 million advance given to Bieber before the tour commenced.

‘To date, Bieber has only repaid a portion of what he borrowed,’ the outlet claimed, with multiple sources suggesting Bieber is financially ‘overstretched’.

Past Financial Decisions Scrutinized

The renewed scrutiny comes two years after Bieber’s widely reported sale of his entire music catalog for $200 million.

The outlet stated the initial offer was around $140 million—rumored to be from Hipgnosis Songs Capital—but Bieber’s team, including his former manager Scooter Braun, reportedly negotiated the final sum up to $200 million.

Sources informed the outlet that Bieber’s team hoped the elevated sum would provide the singer with ‘financial security’ for an extended period.

Speculation Surrounding Wellbeing

This controversial profile emerges amidst ongoing speculation regarding the singer’s health and marriage, with fans expressing apprehension for his wellbeing.

Recently, he ignited rumors when he ‘accidentally’ unfollowed his wife, Hailey Bieber, on Instagram.

He also sparked considerable concern when fans noticed the termination of his professional relationship with Scooter Braun, unfollowing his former manager, and denouncing his fashion brand Drew House—which he co-founded with his previous stylist Ryan Good.

In a February statement to TMZ, a representative for Bieber asserted that he ‘ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him,’ adding that the past year has been ‘very transformative’.
