Reflecting on their year together, Hefner stated, “It’s remarkable how quickly yet deliberately time has passed. It feels both recent and distant simultaneously. I am amazed by how much we have cultivated and experienced in a single year, a testament to our intentional approach to building our bond.”
Exploring Africa and Giving Back
Crystal, widow of the late publisher Hugh Hefner, collaborated with Lush Africa Safaris to curate “a transformative journey.” Their itinerary included visits to Rwanda, Uganda, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Beyond sightseeing, Crystal and Ward have incorporated charitable endeavors into their extensive overseas expedition.
“We contributed to the construction of housing for a school orphanage in Uganda and were privileged to observe chimpanzees and gorillas in their natural setting,” she shared. “Currently, we are continuing our adventure in Botswana, staying at some of my preferred camps with Machaba.”
