Skullcandy Unveils Method 360 ANC Wireless Earbuds with Bose Technology

Skullcandy, a company recognized for its feature-rich and affordable earbud options, has announced its latest offering: the Method 360 ANC wireless earbuds. While typically known for budget-friendly audio solutions, the Method 360 ANC marks a step into a slightly higher price range for Skullcandy, launching at a special introductory price of $99.99, with the retail price eventually settling at $129.99. To ensure premium comfort and enhanced audio quality, Skullcandy has collaborated with audio technology leader Bose for these new noise cancelling earbuds.

Enhanced Comfort and Audio Experience with Bose Partnership

Similar to the Motorola Moto Buds Plus released last year, the Method 360 ANC incorporates licensed technology and acoustic tuning by Bose. Skullcandy states this collaboration delivers their “most advanced audio experience to date.” The design prioritizes user comfort, including three sizes of ear gels and secure-fit fins. These features are engineered to keep the earbuds firmly in place while effectively minimizing external distractions and unwanted noise.

Superior Noise Cancellation at a Competitive Price

Consumers should manage expectations regarding active noise cancellation (ANC) and overall sound quality, understanding it may not completely match the performance of Bose’s flagship QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. However, choosing Skullcandy’s Method 360 ANC presents a significant cost saving, potentially offering a saving of approximately $200.

Innovative Charging Case and Extended Battery Life

Differing from the common clamshell design found in most wireless earbuds charging cases, the Method 360 ANC features a sliding case mechanism, reminiscent of Skullcandy’s Dime Evo earbuds. It also includes a built-in O-ring clip at one end, functioning similarly to a carabiner for portability. While not exceptionally compact, this charging case significantly extends the earbuds’ battery life. Users can expect up to 40 hours of total playback time (11 hours from the earbuds themselves) or 32 hours with ANC activated (9 hours from the earbuds).

Features and Functionality

The Method 360 ANC earbuds are available in a range of five colors: black, bone, primer, plasma, and leopard. Key features include:

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

  • Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation: A four-microphone system provides robust ANC.
  • Stay-Aware Mode: Enhances ambient sounds, allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings.
  • Low Latency Mode: Minimizes audio delay, ideal for gaming and video watching.

Additional Features and Customization

The earbuds offer intelligent wear detection, automatically pausing audio when removed from the ear and reconnecting upon insertion. Multipoint pairing simplifies switching between multiple devices. With an IPX4 rating, they are resistant to sweat and water splashes. Furthermore, the Method 360 ANC supports Spotify Tap, Google Fast Pair, and integrates with the Skullcandy Skull-iQ mobile application. This app enables users to personalize button functions and adjust EQ settings for a customized listening experience.
