Lazarus
The sci-fi action series Lazarus premiered on Adult Swim on Saturday, April 5th. From the acclaimed Shinichirō Watanabe, creator of Cowboy Bebop, this new anime is set in 2052 where a miracle drug called Hapna has allowed humans to live pain-free. However, a deadly consequence is discovered: a fatal side effect manifests after three years, leading to death for anyone who has taken the drug. With humanity facing extinction, a team of agents embarks on a mission to find the drug’s originator, Dr. Skinner, and develop a vaccine. But where is Dr. Skinner, and what are his real motives? Lazarus airs on Adult Swim at midnight and is available for streaming on Max the following day.
The Beginning After the End
Making its anime premiere, The Beginning After the End brings the narrative of a reborn monarch to Crunchyroll. Arthur Leywin was the 30-something King Grey in a previous life, and he has preserved his memories and expertise in his new life as a young individual skilled in magic and adventure. Seeking purpose in life while rectifying past errors, the former king must learn to traverse a world of dragons, elves, and ancient deities who impart valuable lessons about warfare, compassion, and destiny. Wind Breaker, Season 2
The second season of Wind Breaker, the anime series adapted from Satoru Nii’s manga, chronicles Haruka Sakura’s path from misfit to esteemed fighter at Furin High School. This season, Sakura holds the rank of Grade Captain, and he alongside his team will continue to defend their city and each other – all while a new adversary emerges. Stream it on Crunchyroll every Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Devil May Cry
Adapted from the popular video game, Devil May Cry is an anime series centered on Dante, a demon hunter for hire, who might be humanity’s last hope. As demons stand on the verge of invading the human world through a portal, someone must intervene. In production since 2018, the series launched on Netflix on April 3rd. One Piece: Egghead Arc
The latest chapter of the Egghead arc is debuting in April after One Piece underwent a brief break. Upon reaching Egghead Island, the pirates encounter Dr. Vegapunk and his advanced technology. However, CP0 is tasked with investigating the doctor and his schemes, creating complications for Luffy and his crew. Watch on Crunchyroll on Saturdays. New episodes of One Piece will also stream on Netflix one week after their Crunchyroll premiere.
Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc
Teenage Earl Ciel Phantomhive and his demonic butler, Sebastian, travel to Germany to investigate a series of fatalities. Their investigation leads them to the Werewolves’ Forest, where a curse threatens, but the pair are determined to solve the mystery. Stream it on Crunchyroll every Saturday.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes
College student Koichi Haimawari is living an ordinary life in a world where superpowered Quirks are commonplace, until he is enlisted by the hero Knuckleduster to join forces with him – vigilante style. Enter a new facet of the world of My Hero Academia with this spin-off prequel series, airing on Crunchyroll on Mondays at 11:15 a.m. ET.
Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary, Season 2
A breakup at the close of season 1 of Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary left audiences questioning how Kobato and Osanai will navigate future romances, but this series delves deeper. Prepare for more enigmas as this duo collaborates to “remain inconspicuous” while investigating cases. Season 2 airs on Saturdays at 2 p.m. ET on Crunchyroll.
Mono
Seeking something feel-good to watch? Explore Mono, an anime adaptation of Afro’s manga, which centers on a group of high school girls who establish a club. Their Cinephoto club merges passions for photography and videography, and members Satsuki, An, and Sakurako venture across the city to gather material when they are chosen to be characters in a manga. Kijin Gentosho
An adaptation of Motoo Nakanishi’s manga, the series spans eras from the Edo period to the Heisei period. The narrative follows Jinta, a young orphan who becomes a swordsman guardian of a shrine after he and his sister find themselves in a spiritually shielded village. A confrontation with a demon imparts a premonition about a Demon God in the future, thus initiating Jinta’s temporal journey as a monster slayer.
