Beijing has reportedly halted the intake of aircraft from Boeing Co., according to announcements made on Tuesday, as trade friction between China and the United States escalates. This development follows last week’s declaration by U.S. President Donald Trump that China would not be included in a 90-day deferral on levies granted to numerous other nations.

Instead, Beijing would be subjected to an elevated 145% tariff rate on commodities destined for the American market.
