Updating fans via Hoggan’s Instagram account, her sister-in-law, Rachel, posted: “A brief health update from Lynne’s sister-in-law, Rachel (as instructed by Lynne).” She communicated the serious news: “I realize many of you have messaged Lynne and inquired about her recent absence. Regrettably, a week ago she fell ill, which was diagnosed as a substantial bleed on the brain caused by two aneurysms.” Rachel further stated, “She has now had surgery and stents inserted in her brain and is recuperating under the best possible care.”

In a subsequent social media communication, Rachel added, “Lynne still faces a long road to recovery and will remain in hospital for an extended period. She is currently unable to communicate effectively while she recovers.”
