The BBC has announced the premiere date for its upcoming comedy drama, Just Act Normal. The highly anticipated TV series is soon to debut on screens.
Just Act Normal, a fresh six-part TV series, is penned by acclaimed writer Janice Okoh, drawing inspiration from her play “Three Birds”. The program will be available on BBC iPlayer and broadcast on BBC Three.
Cast and Characters
The series features Chenée Taylor, Kaydrah Walker-Wilkie, and Akins Subair in the roles of siblings Tiana, Tanika, and Tionne. The narrative centers on the trio concealing a significant family secret.
Supporting Cast
Alongside the main cast, Just Act Normal includes Romola Garai as Ms. Jenkins, Sam Buchanan portraying Dr Feelgood, Ivanno Jeremiah as Leo, and Talitha Wing as Rome. Jennifer Metcalfe, known from Hollyoaks, will appear as Candy, with Jamelia featuring as Fake Jackie.

Set in Birmingham, Just Act Normal was filmed throughout the West Midlands.

Synopsis
The official synopsis reveals: “When their mum disappears, Tiana, Tionne, and Tanika fight to hide the truth from the outside world in order to stay together as a family. As Tiana struggles to keep their regular lives afloat, Tionne displaces his grief and Tanika tries to convince her teacher to adopt them, chaos erupts when their mum’s hapless drug dealer, Dr Feelgood, moves in.”
