Emma Roberts Advocates for Mother Kelly Cunningham to Join ‘Real Housewives’ at Revolve Festival

Actress Emma Roberts recently revealed her desire for her mother, Kelly Cunningham, to become a cast member on the popular reality television series, The Real Housewives. Speaking at the 2025 Revolve Festival, held during the first weekend of Coachella, the American Horror Story star shared that she has been actively encouraging her mother to consider joining the Bravo franchise.

Roberts Pushes for Family Dynamic on Reality TV

During an interview with The Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes on April 12th at the Revolve Festival, Emma Roberts disclosed that while her aunt, the acclaimed actress Julia Roberts, wouldn’t be her choice for the show, she sees reality TV potential in her mother, Kelly Cunningham. Despite Emma’s enthusiasm, her mother reportedly believes she may not possess the personality type suited for the program.

Daughter’s Encouragement Contrasts Mother’s Hesitation

“I want my mom to be on Housewives,” Roberts stated at the Revolve Festival, a high-profile event featuring performances by Cardi B, Lil Wayne, and Tyga. “But she said she doesn’t have the personality for it.” However, the 34-year-old actress disagrees with her mother’s self-assessment. According to Roberts, Kelly’s straightforward nature is precisely what would make her compelling television.

Kelly Cunningham Previously Considered for Housewives Role

Emma Roberts further mentioned that Kelly Cunningham has been informally approached about the possibility of joining The Real Housewives in the past. However, the actress suggested that securing her mother for the show might prove to be a difficult task, implying a level of reluctance on Cunningham’s part to participate in the reality TV franchise.
