Character actor Nicky Katt, recognized for his memorable roles in the 1993 coming-of-age film “Dazed and Confused,” the 2000 drama “Boiler Room,” and the acclaimed television series “Boston Public,” has died at 54. The performer, known for his intense and versatile portrayals, leaves behind a notable body of work in both film and television. News of Nicky Katt’s death was confirmed by John Sloss, founder of Sloss Law, the firm representing the actor. Sloss relayed the information to media outlets Deadline and The Wrap.
The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Sloss did not immediately respond to further requests for comment.
Born on May 11, 1970, Katt also appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s 2002 film “Full Frontal” alongside Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt, as well as the 2013 Liberace biopic “Behind the Candelabra.”
