Victims Identified in New York City Helicopter Crash
Authorities have released the names of the individuals who perished in the helicopter crash in New York City‘s Hudson River. The tragic incident claimed the lives of all six people aboard the aircraft.
Family Among Fatalities
Among the deceased are Agustín Escobar, a top executive at the technology corporation Siemens, along with his wife Merce Camprubi Montal, and their three young children. The children were ages 4, 5, and 11. Law enforcement sources confirmed to news outlets that the family, visiting New York City from Spain, were among the victims of the Hudson River crash.
Pilot’s Identity Unreleased
The pilot, who also died in the crash, has yet to be formally identified and publicly named.
Details of the Incident
The New York City Fire Department reported receiving an emergency call at approximately 3:15 p.m. local time on April 10th. The call indicated that a Bell 206 helicopter had gone down into the river bordering Manhattan. Mayor Eric Adams of New York City later confirmed that all six occupants of the helicopter were deceased.

“Our prayers are with the families affected by this heartbreaking event,” stated Mayor Adams during a press briefing. He further expressed his “gratitude for the swift response and bravery of the rescuers involved.”
