Dimitri Payet Under Scrutiny Amidst Violence Allegations in Brazil
Former West Ham United midfielder Dimitri Payet, now playing for Vasco da Gama in Brazil, is reportedly the subject of a police investigation following accusations of ‘physical, moral, psychological and sexual violence’ from Larissa Natalya Ferrari, identified as his alleged mistress. The French international joined the Brazilian club from Marseille in 2023.
Claims of Abuse Emerge Against Vasco Midfielder
Ferrari, a 28-year-old lawyer and Vasco supporter residing in Brazil, asserts that she engaged in a romantic relationship with Payet between September 2024 and March 2025. The footballer has been married to Ludivine for nearly two decades, with whom he has four children and who resides in France.
According to reports from Agence France Presse (AFP), a formal complaint against Payet was lodged with the civil police in Rio on March 29. Rio police have confirmed the ongoing investigation, stating: “The investigation is ongoing. The complaint was registered at a police station specializing in assistance to women.”
Ferrari Details Alleged Humiliation and Punishment
In statements to AFP, Ferrari described being ‘humiliated’ and ‘punished’ during her association with Payet. She recounted meeting Payet through Instagram and subsequently initiating a romantic liaison.
However, Ferrari alleges that their relationship deteriorated in December following a dispute regarding tickets for a Vasco match. Subsequently, she claims Payet informed her of his intention to ‘punish’ her for her actions.

Graphic Account of Alleged Violence and Degradation
Ferrari told AFP: “I was attacked by Dimitri Payet, and this has left marks on my body. I have endured physical, moral, psychological and sexual violence. Our initial disagreement occurred in December, after which he indicated he would punish me.”
She further detailed disturbing allegations: “He demanded I demonstrate my affection for him through degrading acts – such as consuming my own urine, licking the floor, and drinking toilet water. He recorded me performing these acts. He physically shoved me, walked over me, and issued veiled threats. I am seeking justice. He exploited my emotional vulnerability to sexually abuse me. As a lawyer, I would not make such grave accusations without due cause.”
Ferrari Denies Financial Motivation Behind Accusations
Ferrari issued a statement clarifying her motivations, stating ‘there’s no justification or explanation for what occurred’ and adding: “But I want to emphasize unequivocally that this was never about money, neither previously nor presently. In fact, my last trip to Rio was by bus.”
“Initially, we did not intend for our relationship to become so profound, but we developed a significant attachment. We grew very close, particularly as I had recently divorced, and he often expressed feelings of loneliness. Due to this intimacy, our encounters became more frequent.”
“I would visit Dimitri’s residence approximately every twelve days, staying for three to four days at a time. He consistently displayed considerable affection towards me, both in person and through messages. With such mutual affection, it was inevitable that we would become emotionally attached.”
