Brandi Glanville Opens Up About Celibacy and Health Struggles on Tori Spelling’s Podcast

Reality TV personality Brandi Glanville recently appeared as a guest on Tori Spelling‘s misSPELLING podcast, where she made candid revelations about her sex life and ongoing health battles. During the Thursday episode, the 52-year-old former model, who was seen with Spelling, 51, earlier in the week stated that she has not engaged in sexual activity for the past two years.

Celibacy Due to Insecurity

Glanville, who has been publicly addressing a facial deformity, explained that her abstinence is ‘not by choice.’ She confessed, ‘I’ve lost my confidence in my appearance. I am deeply insecure and tend to isolate myself at home in Calabasas, rarely going out.’

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star lamented, ‘I live a very quiet life.’

Music Video Appearance and Digital Touch-Ups

However, Glanville mentioned her recent participation in a music video for her dance track “Remedy.” She added, ‘I recently filmed a music video, and the production team was kind enough to digitally enhance my face during post-production.’

The music video, featuring Australian artists RIP Youth and Beks, premiered on DailyMail.com on Wednesday. It showcases the former reality star driving a red convertible across Los Angeles.

In a conversation with DailyMail, Glanville discussed creating the song with her close friend, James Maas of RIP Youth. ‘This was an incredible opportunity, especially considering the challenges of the last two years,’ she shared. ‘I had become quite isolated, and James recognized this and encouraged me to take on this project, which I ultimately wanted to do for him.’

Ongoing Health Issues and Facial Disfigurement

For the past two years, Brandi Glanville has been grappling with a perplexing skin condition that has resulted in facial disfigurement. In 2023, she was hospitalized due to stress-induced angioedema, a condition causing swelling in the deeper layers of the skin from fluid accumulation.

Since then, Glanville has experienced symptoms including swelling, ‘painful lumps,’ and a ‘constant oily, unpleasant-tasting discharge’ in her mouth.

Health Updates and Medical Expenses

Her podcast appearance followed recent online health updates where she described painful lumps and an ‘acidic’ and ‘foul tasting’ drainage from her face to her mouth.

Glanville stated she has spent over $70,000 seeking a diagnosis and treatment for her concerning facial condition.

Search for Diagnosis

In December, Glanville expressed concerns that a ‘parasite’ might be responsible for her facial issues. In March, she expressed her ongoing distress on social media, stating her ‘face is worse than ever’ and feels like it is ‘literally melting away.’

Earlier in January, plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow performed biopsies on Glanville’s face and neck after steroids, antibiotics, and antiviral treatments proved ineffective.
