Bella Thorne Accuses Mickey Rourke of On-Set Misconduct

Veteran actor Mickey Rourke is facing renewed scrutiny following allegations of inappropriate behavior, this time from actress Bella Thorne. The “Celebrity Big Brother” personality, already under fire for recent actions, now faces serious accusations of on-set misconduct during a past film project with Thorne.

Thorne’s Allegations of Abuse

Thorne, known for her roles on the Disney Channel, voiced her accusations on X (formerly Twitter) this Friday. She claimed that during the filming of a movie, Rourke allegedly inflicted “bruises on my pelvic bone” during a scene.

In a series of social media posts, Thorne detailed the alleged incident, stating, “This f–king dude. GROSS. I had to work with this man – In a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands zip-tied around my back,” Thorne recounted. “He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans.”

Graphic Details of Alleged Assault

The actress further elaborated on the alleged assault, explaining, “Hitting them over and over again. I had bruises on my pelvic bone,” she asserted. “Working with Mickey was one of the all-time worst experiences of my life working as an actress.”

“Girl” Movie Set Incident

While Thorne did not initially specify the project, it is understood that the alleged incident occurred during the production of the 2020 horror film “Girl,” the only movie the two actors have collaborated on.

Further Claims of Humiliation and Intimidation

Thorne continued to detail further instances of alleged misconduct on X. She described scenarios intended to “humiliate” her and recalled being pressured to visit Rourke’s trailer alone.

“So many gross stories of things he made me go thru on that movie, including in his last scene to speed up and rev his engine so he could cover me completely in dirt,” Thorne wrote. “Idk I guess he thought it was funny to humiliate me in front of the entire crew.”

Forced Encounters in Rourke’s Trailer

Thorne further alleged intimidation tactics, stating she was allegedly compelled to visit Rourke’s trailer unaccompanied. She claimed this was because the “Sin City” star “refused to speak” with anyone else on the set, including the director or producers.

“Having to go in his trailer absolutely alone because he refused to speak to the director or producers – so I had to convince him to show up and complete his job, as he shouted crazy demands that he wanted from the producers,” she claimed. “In fact I had to beg. Alone. In his trailer. Since the movie could not be finished without him.”

“Everyone’s work would’ve just been lost and completely for nothing. I didn’t wanna do it,” Thorne continued. “I was uncomfortable, but I did what I was asked to do and what was best for the movie.”

Thorne concluded her statement by saying, “Mickey should’ve never put anybody in that movie in any of those positions that he did.”

Rourke’s Representatives Respond

Rourke’s representatives issued a statement addressing Thorne’s startling accusations. While acknowledging the claims as “deeply troubling” and “extremely serious,” they stated that the “Iron Man 3” performer “denies any intentional misconduct.”

“We are aware of the deeply troubling statements made by Bella Thorne regarding her experience on set with Mr. Rourke during the production of a past film,” the statement read. “These allegations are extremely serious. Mr. Rourke adamantly denies any intentional misconduct.”

The statement continued, “He has not been contacted previously with any claims of this nature and was unaware of any discomfort expressed by Ms. Thorne at the time. Out of respect for all parties involved and in light of the gravity of the claims, Mr. Rourke will refrain from commenting further at this time. He is prepared to cooperate fully with any appropriate inquiry.”

“We extend our support to all professionals who deserve to feel safe and respected in their workplace,” the statement concluded.

“Celebrity Big Brother” Controversy

Thorne’s recent allegations surfaced amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding Rourke’s behavior on “Celebrity Big Brother.” His conduct on the reality show has already drawn criticism, adding another layer to the unfolding situation.

Homophobic Remarks and Apology

Rourke faced backlash for his interactions on “Celebrity Big Brother,” particularly concerning remarks made to co-host AJ Odudu and contestant JoJo Siwa. His comments towards Siwa ignited significant controversy.

“If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore,” Rourke reportedly told the 21-year-old “Dance Moms” star, according to transcripts obtained by BBC.

He was subsequently compelled to apologize for using a homophobic slur around Siwa, though he maintained it was in reference to a cigarette.

“I apologize,” Rourke responded after producers reportedly threatened removal, transcripts indicate. “I don’t have dishonorable intentions – I’m just talking smack, you know. I wasn’t taking it all so seriously. I didn’t mean in it any bad intentions, and if I did, sorry.”
