Arrest for Attempted Murder and Police Chase Incident

Jillian Shriner became the subject of news reports on Wednesday following her shooting by police and subsequent booking on charges of attempted murder and interference with a police pursuit.

Details of the Police Incident

According to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were responding to a hit-and-run collision on a freeway near the Eagle Rock area of Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Three suspects involved in the incident fled towards a residential neighborhood, prompting law enforcement to establish a perimeter around the area.

Subsequently, Jillian Shriner allegedly emerged from her residence armed with a handgun. Despite repeated verbal commands from officers to drop the weapon, she reportedly refused and allegedly pointed the firearm at them.

Shooting and Booking

Police then shot Jillian Shriner. The location on her body where she was wounded was not disclosed. Following the shooting, she retreated back into her home.

The author received medical treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening gunshot injuries and was subsequently booked on attempted murder charges.
