Singapore Changi Airport Named World’s Best for Record 13th Time; UK Airports Fall in Rankings

Singapore Changi Airport has once again been recognized as the world’s best airport, securing the top spot in the latest rankings for a historic 13th time. The UK failed to secure a position within the top 20 in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2025. These prestigious airport awards are based on an extensive global customer satisfaction survey, evaluating service and amenities across 565 airports worldwide.

Unmatched Airport Experience at Changi

Changi Airport provides an exceptional travel experience, boasting a wide array of attractions for passengers. Among its impressive features are a butterfly sanctuary, a rooftop swimming pool, and a hedge maze, ensuring a memorable visit even during layovers.

Iconic Rain Vortex and Entertainment Options

Perhaps the most iconic attraction is the Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, dramatically cascading from 40 meters (131 feet). Beyond this spectacle, travelers can enjoy a suspended trampoline, explore the serene canopy park, or challenge themselves on the climbing wall, making it more than just an airport.

Awards and Recognition for Changi

Adding to its accolades, Singapore Changi also received recognition for its exceptional dining options and restroom facilities, winning the World’s Best Airport Dining and the inaugural World’s Best Airport Washrooms awards. These wins highlight Changi’s commitment to providing a holistic and superior airport experience.

Top Airports Globally: Doha and Tokyo

Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, slipped to second place after holding the top position in 2024. Tokyo Haneda Airport completed the top three, also earning accolades as the World’s Cleanest Airport and World’s Best Domestic Airport, demonstrating its excellence in various categories.

UK airports experienced another year outside the top 20. Heathrow Airport declined slightly in the airport rankings, moving to 22nd place from 21st the previous year. Gatwick Airport, however, showed improvement, climbing to 36th position from 48th, indicating a positive shift in its service quality.
