“As I grieve the deep loss of my beloved husband David Siegel, who passed away on April 5 at the age of 89, my world was shattered again yesterday by the unexpected death of my beautiful sister, Jessica Mallery, 43,” Jackie, 59, stated in a message released through her nonprofit, the Victoria’s Voice Foundation’s official Instagram page on Tuesday, April 8. The statement further revealed the cause of death as “accidental drug overdose,” a tragic issue her family knows too well.
Continuing the Fight Against Substance Abuse
Jackie affirmed that her foundation will “continue to raise awareness and advocate every single day” for individuals battling substance abuse, honoring Mallery’s memory. The Victoria’s Voice Foundation was established to commemorate Jackie and David’s daughter, Victoria, who tragically died from a drug overdose in June 2015.
“Our work at Victoria’s Voice remains more vital than ever, and in Jessica’s memory, we will persist until this form of grief becomes a distant memory in this country,” her statement continued.
