This admission follows Bensimon’s previous remarks about being attracted to Guy Gansert, another participant from the senior dating show. During a recent podcast appearance, Bensimon discussed her burgeoning connection with Ibgui and her perspectives on navigating the world of dating after reality television appearances.
Pascal Ibgui’s Digital Overture
Speaking on the “Ben & Ashley I Almost Famous” podcast episode aired Tuesday, April 8, Bensimon told hosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti about Ibgui’s approach. She confessed to the podcast hosts that she had not watched the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette, which debuted in September 2024, before adding, “It’s actually very entertaining.”
Detailing their online interaction, the former Real Housewives of New York star explained Ibgui’s attempt to establish common ground. “Pascal is like, ‘I’m French,’ [and] well, my ex-husband [Gilles Bensimon] was French, and he goes, ‘I live in Chicago,’ and I’m from Illinois originally,” Bensimon recounted, providing further insight into their exchange.
“So he was like, ‘I’m a hairdresser,’ and I was, like, ‘Oh wow,’” Bensimon added, indicating a somewhat surprised reaction to this detail about Ibgui.
Exploring New Romantic Horizons
Bensimon, a real estate professional, indicated she is open to exploring a potential relationship with Ibgui. However, she acknowledged hesitations stemming from past romantic experiences. “I’m not a zeroing-in-on-somebody kind of person. Let’s date before we get married, tread the waters, meet people,” she elaborated. “I’m a little gun shy, I’m not going to lie. I’ve had two failed relationships.” She referenced her marriage to Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2007, which produced two daughters, and her recent separation from former fiancé Scott Litner in June 2024.

“So I text back and I’m like, ‘That’s great, sounds fun, look forward to, can’t wait, whatever,’” Bensimon said, mimicking her brief replies. “And it was like … ‘I like this and I like that, and I think you’d like this, and I think you’d like that,’ and going on and on and on and on and, ‘Here’s a photo of me without a pocket square.’ I was like, ‘What is going on?’” she questioned, expressing her bewilderment at the nature of Gansert’s messages.
Confusion and Continued Contact
Adding to the confusion, Gansert informed Bensimon that he was currently dating someone else. Despite this, he persisted in sending her “more images” of himself and mentioning his acting career. (Gansert recently appeared on an episode of General Hospital.)
Friendly Connection with Gary Levingston
After things did not progress with Gansert, Bensimon also connected with another Golden Bachelorette contestant, Gary Levingston. “Gary and I got along really really well. I don’t know what the next step is. We text and we became friendly, which was great,” Bensimon shared during her “Almost Famous Podcast” appearance, indicating an ongoing, amicable rapport.
