Virginia Giuffre Family Speaks Out Following Car Accident Claims
The family of Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew, have publicly addressed her situation after the 41-year-old stated she had “days to live” following a recent car crash. After Ms. Giuffre described her critical condition post-accident, her brother and sister-in-law have offered their perspective. Sky Roberts, Ms. Giuffre’s brother, and his wife, Amanda, have implied that the injuries depicted in a recent Instagram photograph might not be solely attributable to the collision involving her vehicle and a school bus in rural Australia in late March.
Family Raises Questions About Extent of Injuries
In an accompanying caption to the photo, Ms. Giuffre asserted she was experiencing renal failure as a consequence of the incident and had been given a mere four days to live. Speaking to People Magazine, Mr. Roberts clarified, “Let’s be clear, she never indicated the bus accident [was] the sole reason for all her other injuries.” He further questioned public perception, asking, “Is it going to take her to die for people to believe her? Or can you simply be a human and examine the facts and understand this is someone who genuinely was in an accident and genuinely has pre-existing health concerns?”
Details of the Car Crash Incident
Ms. Giuffre initially shared news of the car crash on March 30th, writing, “I won’t detail everything, but I think it’s important to note that when a school bus driver approaches you at 110km as we were slowing to make a turn, it renders any car, regardless of its make, virtually like a tin can.”
Subsequently, a spokesperson explained that an image of her bruised face, shared alongside the initial post on Instagram, was posted “erroneously” and was intended for her private Facebook account.
Conflicting Accounts Emerge Regarding Accident Severity
The car crash garnered international media attention; however, both law enforcement and the other driver involved have appeared to challenge Ms. Giuffre’s account of events. Authorities confirmed that a “minor collision” occurred between a bus and a car in Neergabby, located north of Perth, on March 24th.
Bus Driver Disagrees with Giuffre’s Portrayal
Ross Munns, the bus driver involved in the car accident, also suggested that the 41-year-old had “exaggerated the events.”
Giuffre Addresses Past Trauma in New Statement
In her first public statement since announcing the car crash on Sunday, Ms. Giuffre told People that she could “no longer remain silent” regarding the abuse she endured from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell during her teenage years.
Recalling Lawsuit and Settlement with Prince Andrew
In 2021, she initiated legal action accusing Prince Andrew of sexual assault when she was 17 years old, reaching an out-of-court settlement the following year.
“I was able to retaliate against Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein who abused and trafficked me,” she stated. “Again, I express my gratitude to everyone for their support. I trust that justice will prevail.”
Prince Andrew’s Repeated Denials
Prince Andrew has consistently and vehemently refuted all allegations leveled against him.
