James Middleton Shares Insights on Fatherhood and Son Inigo’s Affinity for Family Dogs
James Middleton, the younger brother of Catherine, Princess of Wales, is offering a glimpse into his experiences of fatherhood. In recent remarks, Middleton provided heartwarming details regarding his life with his wife, Alizée Thevenet, and their 18-month-old son, Inigo. He touched upon how the toddler interacts with their six dogs and various other animals residing on their Berkshire countryside estate, emphasizing the family’s close bond with their pets.
Son’s Bond with Family Dogs
In an interview featured in Hello! magazine on April 7th, James Middleton playfully recounted his son’s early interactions with their canine companions. “He spent the first year of his life thinking he was a dog, being on all fours,” he shared in a lighthearted manner. “His first word was ‘woof’—no, it wasn’t,” he clarified with amusement.
Middleton, age 37, further elaborated on Inigo’s affection for their dogs, particularly Isla. “He absolutely loves the dogs, particularly Isla,” he stated. “When Inigo is standing and Isla is sitting, they are at the same height. He puts his arm around her neck and gives her a squeeze, and she licks his face. It brings me great joy that the dogs have embraced him so warmly, especially as we were careful not to overwhelm him initially.”
Fatherhood Journey
James, who married Alizée in 2021, went on to convey the extent to which his son has inherited traits from him, highlighting the delightful similarities he observes as he embraces fatherhood.
