Shark Unveils FlexBreeze HydroGo Portable Fan for Summer Heat Relief

Known for its innovative vacuum cleaners, US tech giant Shark has expanded its UK product line with the launch of the FlexBreeze HydroGo fan. This portable cooling device, perfect for combating summer heat, is now available in UK stores, offering respite during warmer days.

Cordless Convenience and Misting Technology

The FlexBreeze HydroGo is engineered to cool indoor spaces and its cordless design allows for effortless portability around the home and into gardens.

A key feature is the integrated misting system, which emits a delicate spray of water, reportedly lowering ambient temperatures by up to two degrees Celsius. Shark asserts the mist evaporates rapidly, preventing dampness on skin or clothing.

Key Features of the Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo:

  • Up to 12 hours of cordless operation
  • UV-resistant construction to prevent casing discoloration
  • Five adjustable fan speeds

The cooling fan retails for £129.99 and is available for purchase effective immediately, according to Shark.

In a statement released to news outlets, Shark emphasized, “The FlexBreeze HydroGo revolutionizes portable cooling solutions. This robust, cordless misting fan is designed for versatile use, both inside and outside the home.”

Dyson’s Purifier Cool PC1: An Alternative for Air Purification and Cooling

Shark is not alone in addressing the need for heat management. Dyson recently announced its Purifier Cool PC1, a device that aims to regulate room temperature while simultaneously purifying the air.

This system offers real-time environmental monitoring and automatically responds to airborne pollutants, filtering out unseen contaminants.

Dyson claims the Purifier Cool PC1 effectively removes common household allergens such as dust, pet dander, bacteria, and mould spores.

The Importance of Air Purification

Addressing air quality is increasingly vital. Dyson’s 2023 Global Dust Study highlighted that 53% of households include individuals with allergies. However, understanding of common allergy triggers remains low, with only 33% aware of pollen presence in household dust and 32% recognizing dust mite faeces as allergens.

Pet allergens are also a growing concern. While pet hair is visible, microscopic proteins in pet dander, saliva, urine, and faeces are the primary allergy triggers. Even hypoallergenic pets produce dander, impacting indoor air quality and potentially exacerbating allergies.

Dyson Purifier Cool PC1: Pricing and Availability

The Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 is designed to mitigate these issues, but it comes with a premium price tag of £449.99 from Dyson’s online store.
