Bus Driver Disputes Virginia Giuffre’s Account of Car Crash Incident
The school bus driver involved in a recent road incident with Virginia Giuffre, known for her allegations against Jeffrey Epstein, has publicly addressed the event for the first time, challenging her description of the near-fatal car crash.
Driver Ross Munns Contradicts Giuffre’s Narrative
Ross Munns has refuted Ms. Giuffre’s version of events, asserting that the collision involving her vehicle and his bus was minor.
In an exclusive interview, Mr. Munns stated that the accident has been “blown out of proportion,” and he accused Ms. Giuffre, 41, of exaggerating the severity of the incident.
Giuffre’s Instagram Post and Subsequent Clarification
Ms. Giuffre, who previously received a substantial settlement from Prince Andrew following accusations of sexual abuse, had claimed on Instagram on Sunday to be near death with “four days to live” due to kidney failure resulting from the crash.
In her post she detailed, ‘I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can.’
However, on Tuesday, through a spokesperson, she clarified that the Instagram post detailing her injuries and a photo of her bruised face was mistakenly shared publicly and was intended for her private Facebook account only.
Munns’ Account of the Collision
Mr. Munns recounted that the collision occurred after he followed a slow-moving white car for approximately three kilometers. He decided to overtake when the car’s speed dropped below 75km/h and he deemed it safe to pass, around 3 pm on Monday of the previous week.
He identified the vehicle involved in the incident as a small white Toyota Highlander, driven by a 71-year-old woman believed to be Ms. Giuffre’s caregiver. Mr. Munns stated he did not recall seeing Ms. Giuffre in the Toyota, but a subsequent police report indicated a 41-year-old woman was a passenger.

Mr. Munns (pictured near Perth on Tuesday) has accused Ms Giuffre, 41, of exaggerating the severity of what happened and insisted his bus was in a ‘minor collision’ with her vehicle
Mr. Munns, a school bus driver for 16 years, said that he beeped his horn, but he was unable to avoid clipping the car and damaging its tail-light in what he described as ‘a minor collision’
Mr. Munns explained that he had roughly 29 children on board when he initiated the overtaking maneuver. The white car then abruptly turned right, intending to enter a rural property north of Perth, Western Australia.
Mr. Munns, with 16 years of experience as a school bus driver, stated he sounded his horn but could not prevent clipping the car, resulting in damage to its tail-light in what he characterized as “a minor accident.”
He immediately halted the bus and checked on the driver of the car, who had also pulled over. He was satisfied she was unharmed.
Mr. Munns and the 71-year-old woman exchanged contact details, including phone numbers, and both vehicles were driven away. However, Mr. Munns decided to report the incident to the police as he considered the circumstances “a little bit suss”.
He maintained that he was not obligated to report the collision as reporting is only mandatory if damage exceeds $2,000, which he believed was not the case.
Subsequently, Mr. Munns contacted the driver as a courtesy to inform her about the police report. She called him back the following day, mentioning that a passenger in the car had sustained “a black eye.”
‘Blown Out of Proportion’: Munns on Giuffre’s Claims
The grandfather from Lancelin, near Perth, expressed his shock upon seeing Ms. Giuffre’s Instagram post. He refuted her claim that a school bus had collided with her car at 110km/h, emphasizing that buses in Western Australia have a speed restriction of 100km/h.
Describing Ms. Giuffre’s assertions and the circumstances of the crash, he stated, “It’s just all blown out of proportion, and I know what happened. I didn’t even see her in the car.”
Giuffre, 41, posted on Instagram about the crash on March 24

He reiterated that the accident was caused by the caregiver, explaining, “The driver basically pulled out in front of me. I made sure she was alright, and I went and did a police report.”
Mr. Munns added, “She was elderly, and I asked if she was ok, and she said, ‘Yes, I’m ok’.”
“I asked if she lived here, and she said, ‘No, I’m a carer,’ and I told her she needs to put her indicator on when you have to turn.”
“That’s all the conversation was, and she asked how the kids were, and I said, ‘fine’. It wasn’t a major crash.”
Mr. Munns emphasized the minor nature of the impact, noting no damage to his bus’s Roo Bar, designed to protect against animal collisions.
He stated, “There is nothing on my Roo Bar. I still had 29 kids on the bus; I didn’t even take a photo because it wasn’t warranted.”
Reason for Police Report and Aftermath
Mr. Munns clarified his reason for reporting the crash: “I did it because to me, it sounded a little bit suss.”
“You don’t have to do a police report if the damage is under $2,000, but it sounded suss to me. We have a very good reputation, and it’s all best around safety.”

He further explained the unusual circumstances: “It just wasn’t normal – weird driving. We swapped phone numbers, and I had a look around, and I asked if everything was ok, and the next morning she rang.”
“I thought it was all very strange, and I told her I had already done a police report, and that’s all I have to say. And that’s when she told me there was another person in the car who had a black eye.”
Mr. Munns recounted that the police officer who photographed his bus was “laughing” while doing so, indicating the minimal nature of the incident.
He added, “I actually feel sorry for her. If I hit that car at 110 they would be dead. I used to drive ambulances for years in the country, and I know how to have a good look.”
“I have got the all-clear from the police, and if they want to come for insurance, I will fight that as well.”
“She said she was hit by a bus at 110km/h, and all buses in Western Australia are governed to 100km/h.”
“I was doing 75, and it’s only when she slowed down even more, I decided to pass her.”
Describing his reaction to the image of Ms. Giuffre’s reported injuries, he said, “I just laughed… There is no way you could get that injury if you were in that car.”
However, he expressed his frustration with the ongoing situation, stating, “I would rather this just go away.”

Giuffre’s Hospitalization and Family Matters
Ms. Giuffre claimed to be injured in the school bus crash in her Instagram post from a hospital bed, expressing a desire to see her children “one last time”.
She wrote, “I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.”
“I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time. My heart is shattered, and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.”
A spokesperson for Giuffre later conceded she had “made a mistake” and did not intend for the post to be public. Medical sources have since indicated that her condition is not as critical as her post suggested.
Daily Mail Australia revealed that Giuffre was listed at a Perth Magistrates Court hearing ten days prior to the accident for an alleged breach of a family violence restraining order.
Her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre, was also listed at the same court in February for allegedly “providing inadequate storage facility for firearms.”
The couple is understood to have recently separated after 22 years of marriage and no longer reside together at their $1.9 million mansion in a Perth beachside suburb.
They purchased the six-bedroom home five years prior, making a deposit six months before Ms. Giuffre initiated her lawsuit against Prince Andrew.

The property purchase was finalized before the settlement with Prince Andrew, which involved an undisclosed sum and no admission of liability.
The couple now appear to be engaged in a dispute regarding their children.
Two days before the car crash, on March 22, Giuffre posted a picture of her children on a beach, accompanied by a plea to see them.
She wrote: “My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them, and they’re being poisoned with lies.”
“I miss them so very much. I have been through hell and back in my 41 years, but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else.”
“Hurt me, abuse me, but don’t take my babies. My heart is shattered, and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.”
Giuffre met her husband-to-be at 19 while training as a masseuse in Thailand, a course funded by Jeffrey Epstein, who, along with Ghislaine Maxwell, sex-trafficked Giuffre.
Western Australia Police confirmed a 41-year-old woman was reported as a passenger in a car involved in a “minor collision” with a bus in Neergabby on March 24, and no injuries were reported.
According to 9News Perth, Ms. Giuffre’s 71-year-old ‘carer’ was driving the vehicle at the time.
Acting Western Australian Police Commissioner Kylie Whiteley stated: “We have no report of any serious injuries.”
It is understood Giuffre was treated at a local health center for a pre-existing condition and subsequently discharged.
She later attended another hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, following her controversial Instagram post becoming public.
Her father, Sky Roberts, told DailyMail.com of his distress and desire to be with his daughter in Australia from his Florida home.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Ms Giuffre fabricated or exaggerated the incident.
